Deer hunting is great in Minnesota, especially in the Longville, Hackensack, Walker area. The deer harvest has increased by 8% in 2010 over 2009. Our deer herd is at near population goals in most of Minnesota.
For 2011, the archery season begins Septemnber 17th, and the firearm hunting opens November 5th. The Longville/Hackensack/Walker areas have thousands of acres of public land available for hunting.
